The World Landslide Forum 2026 (WLF7) is a major international scientific forum bringing together researchers, engineers, practitioners, policymakers, and students from around the world. It will be held from 23–27 November 2026 at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham in Faridabad, India.
Organized every three years under the International Consortium on Landslides (ICL) in collaboration with organizations such as UNESCO, WLF7 provides a global platform to share knowledge on landslide science, technology, policy, and disaster risk reduction.
The World Landslide Forum series has been held since 2008 and serves to advance landslide research and strengthen international cooperation on disaster risk reduction. WLF7’s theme is “Landslide Science and Practice for Safe and Resilient Communities”, focusing on science–policy integration to address landslide risk in a changing climate. The forum encourages global participation from academic institutions, government bodies, NGOs, private sector stakeholders, and international agencies.
WLF7 will take place at the modern Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham campus in Faridabad, India — a city within the National Capital Region close to New Delhi, offering excellent infrastructure and international connectivity for delegates.
The event is designed to foster collaboration, networking, and innovation exchange, with sessions covering leading topics in landslide risk science and resilience.
• Plenary sessions and technical presentations by global experts
• Thematic workshops and roundtables
• Policy dialogues and case studies
• Capacity-building and training sessions
• Field visits and on-site demonstrations
• Exhibitions showcasing tools, technologies, and research
• Networking events and professional meetups
Participants can share their research and engage with cutting-edge developments in landslide disaster risk science.
Researchers worldwide are invited to submit extended abstracts or full papers for presentation at WLF7. Full papers accepted through the editorial system will be published in the ICL Open Access Book Series – Progress in Landslide Research and Technology (Scopus indexed). The submission deadline for papers and extended abstracts is 31 March 2026.
Registration is open in multiple categories including early bird, standard, and late/on-site options, with discounted rates for students and participants from low-income countries.
Fees vary depending on category and timing of registration.
